2/26/2019 Last month, we were invited to attend the inaugural Association of Real Estate Photographers (AREP) conference in Atlanta, Georgia as a founding member of the organization. The first meeting brought together real estate photographers from all around the country and it was a pleasure to meet others in the business and talk shop. The mission statement of AREP so far is:
The Association of Real Estate Photographers was established by leading real estate photography companies to elevate industry standards, bring awareness to value a professional photographer brings to the process of selling real estate to home sellers, Agents and Brokers, and standardize media usage rights for real estate across the many stakeholders, including agents, brokerages, the MLS and real estate portals. We are photographers who love our work and we want to ensure it is used to further our clients business.
The meeting was held at a space in midtown Atlanta called The Garage which is a shared collaborative space for independent creative people. Midtown Atlanta near the Georgia Tech campus is a nice area and we enjoyed our time exploring the area and meeting our peers. We look forward to our membership in the organization and hope to help the organization grow in the future. More news on AREP as it developes.
